Q: I’d like to get my ball rolling on internship and/or "tweener" applications but I have one question.

Am I still eligible for these programs?  I graduated college seven years ago (BFA-Photography) and then served 3 1/2 years in the Army.  After discharge three years ago I accepted a position in the Healthcare industry.

I take my camera with me everywhere.  I still get excited about reportage/documentary photography.  I want to pursue a career in photojournalism & feel that an internship or one-year program is the best way to get started.  Am I still eligible?

A: I’m doing a lot of guesswork here, because I don’t know what your work looks like, but I’d say a tweener would be better than a three-month, as few papers are going to take you serious at an offer to quit everything, move and join them when there is little prospect of a hire at the end of the internship.

It could be, this far out of school, your best option is to start small and work your way up.
