FCC Chairman Michael K. Powell, who is scheduled to attend, created the Media Ownership Working Group (MOWG) and charged it with developing a solid foundation for re-evaluating FCC media ownership policies.  See below for today's stories about Powell saying that reports of wholesale rule changes are "melodramatic."

The policies under review are:
• Broadcast-Newspaper Cross-Ownership Rule
• Local Radio Ownership Rule
• Television-Radio Cross-Ownership Rule
• Dual Network Rule
• Local Television Ownership Rule
• National Television Ownership Rule
