Steven Levy at Newsweek thinks Sony’s new portable system is going to rock socks and augur complete digital dominance.

Now, this Chaser must admit, a device that can a) play games over a wireless network and b) play video and music is prima facie awesome. It’s got an absolutely brilliant LCD screen to boot.

But. But, but, but: It’s stuck with Sony’s ghetto memory stick format! And some new thing called the “Universal Media Disk.” No hard drive, either. So how does this thing plug into all the other stuff in your media-crazy life? Does it even have a Firewire or USB port? Whazzup, Sony?

So, register some Chaser skepticism. But we’re definitely willing to wait and see.
