E.W. Scripps reports a second-quarter profit of $2.3 million compared with a prior-year loss of $531 million. CEO Rich Boehne says that “in the near term, we are seeing some slight improvement” in advertising, “particularly at the television stations, which have increased their revenue projections — albeit very modestly — during each of the past seven weeks.” || Read the release.
