Sacred Heart University survey respondents also listed as most-trusted: CNN (19.5% vs. Fox’s 30%), ABC News (7.5%) and NBC News (7.5%). More survey findings:
* 86.6% believe the news media try to influence public opinion and that they have their own public policy and political positions. This compares to 87.6% in 2008 and 70.3% in 2003.
* 70.4% believe the national news media aren’t responsive to “consumer preferences and market desires.
* 22.1% agree that tax dollars should be used to help failing newspapers.
