Washington City Paper has received dozens of calls about the cover headline (at left) for its Marion Barry story. “Some people are going to find that vulgar — that’s inevitable,” says editor Erik Wemple. “If they find it vulgar, they can complain. It’s worth putting it out there, and it’s the truth.” The phrase, says Wemple, “brought the issue very much into focus. It is a matter of public concern how he treats women.”
