Albuquerque Journal sportswriter reassigned over e-mail to Lobo player

The Journal’s University of New Mexico football beat writer Greg Archuleta sent an e-mail last week to running back Demond Dennis asking his status with the team and suggesting it might be “a step in the right direction” if Dennis quit. Archuleta, who has covered UNM football for more than a decade, was reassigned over that e-mail, which his editor said “crossed the line.” || The Journal confirms (third link) the reassignment.
