Trailing competitors such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Apple, Borders has launched an electronic bookstore available to consumers on the Web, iPhone, iPad, Blackberry and Android devices.
Phil Wahba reports Borders, the second most popular U.S. bookstore chain by overall sales, will offer e-books in 10 different formats for various online and e-reader devices by the end of 2010:
Frederic Lardinois wrote in June that the Borders e-book store will be powered by Kobo and that the company is selling both the Kobo and Aluratek e-readers:
