A Chicago Tribune reporter and her sources on Wednesday questioned President Obama’s description of Elena Kagan as “a trailblazing lady.” (“It could have been worse, of course,” wrote Heidi Stevens. “He could have called her ‘sweetie.'”) An editor’s note posted Thursday says Obama called Kagan a “leader,” not a “lady.”
