Interactive Advertising Bureau, Nov. 17, 2010

Michael Learmonth reports that “digital advertising turned in another record period, hitting $6.4 billion in the U.S. in the third quarter, a 17% increase from the same quarter last year, according to the Interactive Advertising Bureau and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.”

He goes on to quote David Silverman, a partner at PwC, as saying that “advertisers are shifting more of their brand messaging online, accounting for this welcome surge in a difficult economy.”
