Date: Fri, 16 Apr 2010 18:31:46 -0400
Subject: From Debby Krenek and Debbie Henley

Colleagues:

We are pleased to announce that David Ng will be joining us for the next few months as Sunday Editor to help us better integrate the work of all desks into the planning and execution of our Sunday report in print and online. Our goal is to continue to find ways to improve an already strong Sunday paper that captures the richness of life on Long Island and serves as a watchdog for our community. Better coordination and planning are key next steps in our effort.

David is a well-respected journalist who has held reporting and editing jobs at a number of newspapers in the New York area. In recent years, David served as an assistant managing editor at The Star-Ledger in Newark and held a number of key positions at the New York Daily News including Executive Editor, deputy managing editor and metropolitan editor. David has served as a juror for the Pulitzer Prizes and frequently as a judge for other newspaper contests, Newsday’s among them.

Join us in welcoming David on Monday morning.
