The bonuses — given in a year when the nonprofit foundation’s endowment suffered multimillion-dollar losses, and its Newseum began a series of layoffs — included $375,000 to Freedom Forum CEO Charles Overby (total 2008 compensation: $991,044), and $225,000 to the Newseum’s then-president, Peter Prichard, according to newly released documents.
