The Buffalo News reported Sunday that seven of the eight people shot at the City Grill restaurant two weekends ago “had brushes with the law at some point in their lives.” That prompted protesters to burn copies of the News, and editor Margaret Sullivan to insist that “the information in the story is an important piece of the puzzle.”
