As recently as two weeks ago, the military was still facilitating Michael Hastings‘ next embed and had sent him a “preliminary approval” letter. “No one has said anything is wrong with the [Rolling Stone] story, but yet I am losing the privilege to embed because of it — which doesn’t seem to track with me,” he says.
