Two dozen papers in Texas ran a full-page ad Monday with a picture of Gov. Rick Perry and the word “coward” in large, capital letters; Hearst’s Chronicle was the only paper to refuse it. “We were more than happy to run the ad if [the anti-Perry group] changed the headline,” says a Chronicle marketing rep.
