It’s still easy to take bad pictures with smart phones, even those that capture up to 12-megapixel images. In a blog post Wednesday, Zack Stern offers eight tips to help Android users take better photos. Many of the ideas apply to other devices as well:
- Don’t use the digital zoom
- Use the flash in daylight to fill in shadows
- Avoid bright lights in the image that will confuse the auto-exposure function.
- Take advantage of the camera’s size to shoot from unique perspectives.
- Install add-on apps to utilize timers and photo filters.
