A week after the U.S. Audit Bureau of Circulation accepted iPad editions of newspapers and magazines in counting net circulation, the UK ABC has announced it will not. According to reporting by Laura Oliver, iPad editions “will be subject to the UK ABC’s rules as digital editions, which are reported separately on ABC print certificates and not included in a title’s average net circulation figure for that report.” The Bureau did indicate it was still reviewing the auditing rules for digital editions “to ensure they remain relevant and reflect current technology and practices.”
