Greg Sandoval reports that the investigation into the stolen iPhone prototype is expected to close “within a few weeks,” with a decision on criminal charges to follow.
“As part of the investigation, police interviewed a ‘number of Apple employees’ and other people connected to the case, including Apple CEO Steve Jobs, [Stephen Wagstaffe, chief deputy district attorney for San Mateo County, Calif.] said. An Apple spokeswoman declined to comment.”
The case was launched after the tech blog Gizmodo obtained a lost iPhone 4 in April and published photos of it.
