John S. Knight Fellowship applicants this year proposed a project to pursue at Stanford that would restore themselves and journalism, too. Pam Maples reports the fellows created iPhone apps, developed new websites, and experimented with mobile user-journalist collaboration models and tools. Some built the foundation for new businesses they’re now launching.
