Los Angeles Times
The LA Times has launched a new version of its iPhone app following less than stellar reviews for its inaugural effort. The updated app is available in the iTunes store for $1.99 and features 10 news sections, including a breaking news feed, opinion and columnists. The app also enables social sharing via Twitter and Facebook as well as offline reading of content.

Editor & Publisher reports that the Times plans to launch an entertainment-based “Hollywood Star Walk” app soon.
