Military Times
The annual Rim of the Pacific exercise — called RIMPAC — has thousands of sailors and Marines participating in 38 days of nation-building and joint operations off the coast of Hawaii. Military blogger Gina DiNicolo (left) — in Hawaii for RIMPAC, and working for the Marine Corps — called it SNOOZEPAC and said it’s “38 days of too many visitors gorging themselves on foreign and U.S. naval delicacies.” She lost her job.
