Former Mississippi Public Broadcasting investigative reporter Carl Gibson (left) says he wanted to help friends at the Jackson Free Press get the “Fresh Air” story straight, so he gave them an MPB memo about the program being canceled. He was fired last Friday and has a story in today’s Free Press. “I was not the only one leaking e-mails,” he says. “I was the only one that got caught.”
