Susan Davis and Fawn Johnson Join Growing National Journal Team
Washington, D.C. (August 12, 2010) — The National Journal group announced today that two highly-regarded Washington journalists will be joining the media company as correspondents in preparation for a fall relaunch of its website and publications.
Susan Davis will be a Congressional Correspondent for the National Journal Group, which includes National Journal magazine, CongressDaily and the Hotline. The media group is unifying its newsroom and launching a new website in the fall.
She comes to National Journal Group from The Wall Street Journal, where she has been the lead writer for the popular political blog, “Washington Wire.” A member of the Wall Street Journal’s political team since September 2007, Davis covered the 2008 presidential campaign, Congress, and congressional campaigns. Prior to that, she covered the U.S. House for Roll Call. Her new position will be a homecoming of sorts; she previously worked for CongressDaily, covering the House, Senate, and campaign finance beats. Davis’s first stint at National Journal Group began in the research department of the Almanac of American Politics.
Fawn Johnson joins National Journal Group as the General Assignment Correspondent, covering a range of issues including transportation and education. Johnson comes to National Journal from Dow Jones Newswires and the Wall Street Journal, where she covered financial regulation and telecommunications. She is also an alumnus of National Journal, where she reported on health care, labor and immigration for CongressDaily.
