Knight Foundation
Using a portion of a new $1.2 million grant, the Sunlight Foundation plans to develop a series of “National Data Apps” to provide consumers with mobile access to federal government data.
The grant, from the Knight Foundation, will be disbursed over two years and also will be used to enhance the Sunlight Live website, which provides “a real-time accountability platform that combines streaming video, government transparency data, journalistic background and social media coverage of major events in Washington.”
