Maureen Ryan, who is leaving the Chicago Tribune after 13 years to join AOL Television, says “the Tribune’s needs changed over time, and my reviews seemed to be less and less necessary to the print product’s daily operation. In the past year, quite a few of my reviews, news stories and features appeared only online. …I’d be surprised if the Tribune filled my position.”
