According to a study by the UK’s Essential Research only 24% of mobile phone users in that country actually use their devices to access the mobile Web. However, the adoption rate seems closely related to both the cost of wireless data plans and the difficulty of browsing Web pages on many cell phone models. As for the potential, and likely upside, the report states that, “86% of current mobile Internet users and 56% of non-mobile Internet users” would be willing to utilize live video or radio services on their mobile phones.
