Chicago Breaking Sports
The Chicago Sun-Times’ story said “rumors/sources that have [basketball player Anthony] Davis choosing Kentucky are also alleging that the commitment cost $200,000.” Paul Skrbina points out that, “if true, any such payment would be a grave violation of NCAA rules and put the Kentucky basketball program in a precarious position.” The rumor was pulled after Kentucky demanded a retraction. || Yahoo! Sports: “A sloppy/unfounded rumor.”
