During Steve Job’s New York City iPad media tour last month, he apparently took a few shots at Adobe, telling Wall Street Journal editors that Flash was an obsolete technology. One of the most prominent criticisms of Apple’s new iPad is its lack of support for Flash, which is currently the standard for interactive and video presentation on the Web. Valleywag’s unattributed sources report that Jobs suggested the WSJ could easily migrate from using Flash to the H.264 standard for encoding and publishing video that Apple has incorporated into QuickTime.
