Wired UK editor David Cowan said Monday that he expects the price of the magazine’s forthcoming iPad edition to be “a bit less than the printed publication, but a bit more than zero.” Speaking with AudioBoo CEO Mark Rock, Cowan suggested that the tablet version of the magazine will gain consumer acceptance as paid content. “On the desktop Internet, people have not paid for content very easily. On these devices [tablets] people will, because it is a very friendly user interface. There will be a much more high quality experience than [just] looking at text on a screen.”
