The Boston Globe
The Globe has decided to extend the free trial period for its new paid site, BostonGlobe.com, until mid-October. Publisher Christopher M. Mayer says in a memo to staff that the extension will give the paper time to “implement a few final technical refinements that will help provide a more seamless experience for both users and advertisers.” Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is still the sponsor until the Globe starts charging. || Related: Dallas Morning News to make its coverage of Texas Gov.
