Business reporter Bruce Japsen was laid off on Thursday after 13 years at the Tribune, but still showed up at Chicago public TV studios later in the day to represent the paper for a week-in-review discussion. “I went on because I’m a pro, and I think those people are pros,” he says. “That’s what you’re supposed to do.” Last month the Tribune said it was going to hire more reporters for its “enhanced” product.
