Friends, colleagues, kinfolk and vague acquaintances,

I’m working on something you might find of interest. My friend, former colleague and neighbor Gary Love has lent his coding expertise to my sputtering hobby website, Newsdex Seattle. It is now a daily measurement of the social networks of metro-Seattle news outlets and other media, and their employees.

We even include Dan Savage and Jenni Hogan! I repeat: We even include Dan Savage and Jenni Hogan!

You can find the new interactive tool, complete with bar charts and a lengthy ranking from The Seattle Times on down, at http://seattle.newsdex.us.

Details about what we’re doing are here.

Your feedback is welcome at feedback@newsdex.us.
