It appears we’ll never find out what Don Ohlmeyer thinks about ESPN staffers’ controversial shoe deals. He recently posted his final column with an apology “for the spotty presence … the past six months,” and explained that “I’ve been dealing with some health issues that have prevented me from meeting some of my deadlines in that time.” || July 2009: Don Ohlmeyer succeeds Le Anne Schreiber as ESPN ombud.
