In this week’s career chat, we talked with Paul Brandus, a credentialed White House correspondent who primarily files to Twitter via his @WestWingReport account. Previously, Brandus was a senior editor and producer at NBC News/CNBC and helped launch MSNBC.

During the chat, Brandus talked about the West Wing Report — specifically how he developed this reporting and tweeting model, as well as its business model. He focused on how journalists can invent new jobs that fit their skills and passions, and answered questions about branding and building an audience.
