Longshot Magazine co-founder Alexis Madrigal lists some of the tools they'll be using this weekend, and notes that "it's worth reflecting on the fact that basically none of them existed five years ago." They include: Tumblr, Google+, Google Docs, Twitter, SubMishMash, and HP's Magcloud. The team put out two issues in 2010, and won a Knight-Batten Award for Innovations in Journalism for their work. The debut issue attracted more than 1,500 submissions and sold more than 2,500 print copies. (It was called "48 Hours" until CBS lawyers came knocking.) Work on issue #3 started at 3 p.m. ET Friday.
