Pew Research Center for the People and the Press
Pew Research Center reports that 37 percent of its survey respondents say recent press coverage of Michele Bachmann has been fair, 16 percent say it’s been too tough, and 16 percent say it has been too easy. A larger plurality sees coverage of Mitt Romney as fair (45 percent), while just 9 percent say recent coverage has been too tough, and 16 percent say it’s been too easy.
The public is more deeply divided in views of how the press covers Sarah Palin. Currently, only 32 percent say press coverage has been fair, but there is no consensus on what the bias is: 30 percent say it has been too tough and 22 percent say it has been too easy.
