Jon Leiberman lost his job as Sinclair Broadcast Group Washington bureau chief when he criticized the network’s plans to air an anti-John Kerry film just before the 2004 presidential election. What’s he up to now? Leiberman’s been trying out for a spot on the Howard 100 News Team and got a thumbs-up from Howard Stern Monday after he described his Sinclair dismissal [warning NSFW-ish image]. “You’re a hero” for protesting the airing of the anti-Kerry documentary, Stern told Leiberman, who resigned as an “America’s Most Wanted” correspondent in February. (The show was canceled in May.) Leiberman referred my questions about his Howard 100 News gig to SiriusXM public relations. [This post was updated to correct Leiberman’s “AMW” departure date.]
