Politico has demanded that a new site called Newark Politico change its name and stop using its logo, which looks pretty similar to the one for the national political news site in Washington, D.C. An unnamed representative of Newark Politico — he wouldn’t identify himself or any of the site’s writers and investors — tells Joe Pompeo, “We are in no way attempting to copy Politico.com. The similarities in the logos are purely coincidental.” Newark Politico, which is supposed to launch next month, will publish news and commentary by full-time journalists and political figures, Pompeo reports.
