All Things Digital
One of the “bells and whistles” to be included in News Corp.’s iPad newspaper will apparently be a “3-D” panoramic video capability, according to Peter Kafka.

News Corp.’s CEO for Europe and Asia, James Murdoch, said in Munich on Tuesday that the success or failure of the tablet publication would come down to its journalism, not its technology. But, Kafka notes, The Daily will have some innovative features:

“People familiar with the Daily tell me plans for future editions of the app include a gee-whiz feature that will allow correspondents to offer readers a 360-degree view of whatever they’re talking about.”

Kafka linked to an example of a 360-video on a Doritos YouTube marketing page. The video is not embeddable, but you can check it out here.
