Heidi Moore, New York bureau chief for “Marketplace,” says it’s fitting that her 50,000th tweet linked to a slideshow of otters rather than one of her own stories. She’s disappointed that so many journalists use Twitter for broadcasting and promotion: “Readers and followers rightly see this as a pompous and self-serving use of their time and attention.
