Twitter’s PR team has released a guide to help journalists use the service. “Twitter for Newsrooms” has four sections: Report, Engage, Publish and Extra. It explains how to search Twitter, find sources, engage effectively with audiences, republish tweets and more. Power users may not find much new here, but it’s a good resource for general training. This move follows Facebook’s journalists page that offers resources and tips, showing that social networks are trying to place themselves at the center of the news system.
