This is the kind of correction that leaves me wondering how the mistake occurred:
The Wall Street Journal didn’t ask Paul Taubman, co-president of institutional securities at Morgan Stanley, for his opinion of Susie Essman’s performance at the UJA-Federation of New York’s annual Wall Street Dinner on Wednesday. On Monday, Mr. Taubman declined to comment on the performance. An article on Saturday’s Heard & Scene page incorrectly said Mr. Taubman called the performance “refreshing.”
I emailed reporter Mike Vilensky on Tuesday (and followed up again on Wednesday) to ask for background on the mistake. I’ll update if I hear back from him. The corrected story is here (sub req’d).
