The Washington Post has launched SocialCode, a new subsidiary that aims to help businesses attract Facebook fans and deliver targeted advertising on the social networking site.
Russell Adams reports:
“The service will be part of the Post Co.’s Slate Group and be run by general manager Laura Graham O’Shaughnessy. Launched in beta mode mid-last year, SocialCode has grown from two to 10 employees and has worked on several seven-figure campaigns, Slate editor Jacob Weisberg said.”
Adams says the technology used by the company will allow it to segment, test and refine different advertising messages for different Facebook audiences.
