Lilia Chacon, who was let go from Chicago’s Fox affiliate last July, tells Robert Feder that “after 30 years in journalism, including 21 years at Fox Chicago, not a single news outfit was interested in putting an award-winning journo back on the air. Maybe if I was an older guy … hmmm.” (She’s 56.) At Chacon’s old station, WFLD-TV, “people are miserable and scared” about their futures, she says.
