Paul Raushenbush Leaves Princeton University to Become Full-Time Senior Editor of HuffPost Religion
New York, NY – April 25, 2011 – The AOL Huffington Post Media Group, a leading source of news, opinion, entertainment, community, and digital information, announces today that Tom Zeller, energy reporter at The New York Times, has been named Senior Reporter, Energy & Environment, and that Paul Raushenbush is leaving his position as Associate Dean of Religious Life at Princeton University to become the full-time Senior Editor of HuffPost Religion.

After a year as an Editor-at-Large for National Geographic magazine, Zeller returned to The New York Times in July 2008. He spent much of the last decade as a reporter and editor covering various subjects for The Times — from technology and cyberfraud to culture and politics. He was also the founder of The Lede, and oversaw the Green Inc. blog. He has won several awards for visual journalism and multimedia reporting from the Society of News Design and from the University of Navarra, Spain (Malofiej Awards) including prizes for a collection of essays and graphics lending historical context to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and a multimedia documentary of a Louisiana plantation — part of The Times’ Pulitzer prize-winning “How Race Is Lived in America” series.
Raushenbush, Religion Editor at The Huffington Post since 2009, had been Associate Dean of Religious Life and the Chapel at Princeton since 2003. He had also been Co-Director of Program on Religion, Diplomacy and International Relations at the Liechtenstein Institute on Self Determination since 2006. Previously, Raushenbush was an Associate Pastor at Riverside Church in Manhattan. Raushenbush was also a contributor at Beliefnet.
