Deadline’s Mike Fleming confirms the news, reported Tuesday night by the Times’ Michael Cieply, that “SportsNight” and “The West Wing” creator Aaron Sorkin will adapt Walter Isaacson’s bestselling Steve Jobs bio for film.

Last month HBO released the trailer for Sorkin’s new show, “The Newsroom,” which is based on Keith Olbermann.
