The University of Kentucky Wildcats are the new men’s basketball NCAA national champions, after defeating the University of Kansas Jayhawks 67-59 Monday night. Their local front pages honor their season, win or lose.

The Kentucky Kernel, a student publication, is selling Tuesday’s commemorative front page.

Tuesday’s Courier-Journal featured a front-page column by columnist Eric Crawford, who saw the victory as “a championship answer” to questions about John Calipari’s coaching career.
New Orleans was the host city for this year’s men’s Final Four and National Championship.
In Kansas, the Lawrence Journal-World honored the Jayhawks despite their defeat.
