The largest journalism job fair in four years will be held Aug. 1-4 at the Unity Journalists convention in Las Vegas.

Karen Hite, senior manager for recruiting at the E.W. Scripps Co., has registered for the convention and recruited at the recent National Association of Black Journalists convention.

During this week’s career chat, we talked with Hite about whether job fairs still work as journalism networking events. She also talked about how E.W. Scripps uses job fairs and other networking events, and offered tips for those who are looking for jobs.
