Booth Newspapers and MLive.com recently consolidated under the name MLive Media Group, which launched last Thursday.

MLive Media Group and Advance Central Services Michigan now operate AnnArbor.com, MLive.com and Booth Newspapers, and are taking a digital-first approach. More than 500 people were laid off as part of the consolidation, some of whom were then hired for new positions.

In this week’s career chat, we talked with John Hiner, MLive Media Group‘s vice president of content. Hiner talked about the type of skills that MLive Media Group is looking for in its new hires, and how things are going so far.
