In the race for newspaper endorsements, the candidates are currently tied in swing states. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel will not be breaking that tie, as its editorial page editor David D. Haynes told Jim Romenesko the paper would not be endorsing for president in this election.

The Des Moines Register will announce its endorsement on Saturday night. Meanwhile, the Iowa paper forced President Obama to release a transcript of what was initially an off-the-record call in hopes of securing that endorsement.
